"I really need to stop watching MTV Cribs," Deadpool remarked to a small child, a lemming, and two pets. Because, really, it needed to be said.

But there was a TV ready, booze of various kinds and the kind of snacks the girls on the show would die to have if it didn't make them gain weight. Mmmm. Deep fried.

"Uh, no?" Steve said. "I've actually never seen the show before. I'm a--friend is too strong a word. Concerned party of Wade's."

"But then we wouldn't get to enjoy them bitch at each other like the kids they are!"

"And retouching," Sarah said, using her sekrit spy technique of agreeing with whatever people said. "How did you start watching this, anyhow? I thought it was for 14-year-old girls."

"I really think they just need to eat something," Steve said. "Then they'd be less cranky."

"You're ahead of me," Sarah remarked. "I've seen Wade at Fight Club, but I just wandered in off the street. I liked the posters and I needed the distraction."

She offered a hand. "Sarah Walker."

"The same could be said about most women," Deadpool pointed out. Thus proving why he was sleeping with a guy.

"...clearly you've never enjoyed the mocking of pretty people who are too young to know better and yet you can't feel sorry for them because they signed up for this."

That drew a long look. "You're going to have to tutor me in that one."

"Oh, consider that a challenge."

"...yeah." Steve had gotten the lecture about being judged on your butt in spandex one too many times from various female members of the Avengers line-up to argue with that.

Steve shook her hand and said, "Steve Rogers. I teach. At the school. Obviously."

"And I'm going to guess you don't back down from challenges."

"Oh, you could teach somewhere else and just live here," Sarah suggested. "It's nice to meet you -- what do you teach? I run the comics shop in town."

...Steve could hope they didn't carry the official licenses, right?

"I teach, ah," he rubbed the back of his neck and said something that sounded like 'mumble mumble.'

"I didn't catch that," Sarah said apologetically (and suddenly much more interested).

"Actually I do, but this sounds much more dramatic."

"I teach sex ed."

Deadpool just offered something deep fried and covered in sugar. "It's okay, they can't hurt you now."

Steve took it and said, "You say that now."

"That's because I know these things. I'm like Layla Miller or something." No he wasn't. "I read the important things, like the recap pages."

"I do not know if I could do that with a roomful of teenagers," Sarah said, shaking her head. "Even if I was fine, watching their reactions would just be ..."

She trailed off. "But I'm not really the teacher type."

"You're talking crazy again," Steve reminded him. "And you don't look like a blonde preteen."

"I think the trick is to not let them see that you think it's embarrassing," Steve confided. "Then they try to be okay with it, too, because it's not done to be less cool than the teacher."

"And then you're all talking about it like reasonable adults," Sarah finished. "That's probably the best way to pull that off, Steve."

His ears turned pink. "Well, I try."
