"I really need to stop watching MTV Cribs," Deadpool remarked to a small child, a lemming, and two pets. Because, really, it needed to be said.

But there was a TV ready, booze of various kinds and the kind of snacks the girls on the show would die to have if it didn't make them gain weight. Mmmm. Deep fried.

I need to stop drinking coffee at work. My brain is going waaaaay too fast right now.

Minsc? Did not have any idea what this was all about, but it was apparently the substitute for the Stitch'n'Bitch, without the stitching, it seemed, so he was all for it.

"When was the last time these girls ate?" Ghanima asked, tilting her head quizzically at the television. "Have they never heard of cinnabon?"

Food, alcohol, and socialization with other adults? Ghanima was definitely in attendance, trying to make sense of what, exactly, the point of 'models' was.

Deadpool cocked his head to the side. "Five days ago. Tops."

Steve had heard of Deadpool's recent loss through the superhuman grapevine, and thought it would be a good idea to support him, or something. Anyway, he was here, and he'd brought beer and fresh chocolate chip cookies. Motivation was unimportant.

"Willful starvation," Steve said wryly. "The privilege of wealth."

"But there is food!" Ghani pointed out, torn between amused and horrified. "Perfectly good food, like ice cream and pastries and coffee! Why would you want to starve?"

"What happens if they pass out mid-catwalk?" she mused. "Is that an automatic disqualification?"

"No kidding!" agreed Minsc. "You'd think, if they were going to sacrifice them to the goddess there, they would fatten them up at least a little more. There cannot be any good meat there. All stringy!"

Minsc....might have completely missed the point of the show.

"It just makes them more like a real model," Deadpool replied. "Minus the coke and cigarettes!"

"They're sacrifices?" Well, at least that made a little bit more sense. "Maybe they're fasting for purity?"

"There's a difference between these and real models?" Ghanima added that to the list of confusing things about television. "If they drink Coke, I'd think they'd look less likely to fall over. I think some of my students live off caffeine and nicotine alone."

"Because it's somehow considered 'beautiful' to look like you're three days from starving to death. And because America has gotten so rich that people can afford to not eat, since there'll always be food around when they get around to eating it." Steve, as a son of the Depression, had Opinions on deliberately bone-thin people.

"Different kinda coke."

Oh, the 80's.

"...the British chick, right?"

"There is a difference between being trim and fit, and being malnourished," Ghanima announced as she waved a 'buffalo wing' for emphasis. "These children will blow away in a strong wind."

"I was thinking of Reno," Ghanima confessed. "I don't think I know any 'British Chicks.'"

"Hmmm." Minsc narrowed his eyes at the screen pensively. "Maybe! Or maybe they are starving them so that they can't fight back."

"I agree completely," Steve said. "It's ridiculous."

"The one from that bizarro world with gay superheroes." A beat. "Not that there's anything wrong with that."

Ghanima nodded as she bit into another buffalo wing.

"They'd be pretty easy to catch," she replied after finishing it off. "I doubt they could even run a mile in their condition."

"To me, any world with 'superheroes' is bizarre," Ghanima laughed. "Does gay make a difference?"
