Just looking at his eyes made her heart hurt. Rikku felt her own eyes tearing up again. "Confidence," she repeated softly. Well, he'd certainly been pretty sure of himself. And her. "And then ..." She looked away, unable to finish that thought. Besides, she didn't need to ask if he remembered that bit; the look on his face already said it.
She hugged her arms around herself, tightly. "Sorry about ... punching you. Well, not sorry, 'cause I had to, and you totally deserved it, not you I guess, but ... you know what I mean." She hoped he did. She certainly didn't.
