Deadpool was watching television.

Yes, this was shocking.

Oh shut up, it's not like he had much else to do tonight. Well, he could plan the date tomorrow. Or, you know, actually ask Arashi if he wanted to go out. But noooo.

TV.

With a small pile of animals all sniggled up on his feet.

"Come on guys, I have to go to the bathroom!"

Max opened one eye and yawned in a way that was far too adorable.

Deadpool? Sighed and allowed them to stay. "I swear, my poor bladder."

Aly hated not being able to do anything. And after her yet to be played out conversation with Anakin, she'd paced, wanting to do more or something until she finally wore herself out enough that she realised going to pick up her kittens from Wade at least would be productive.

Which was why twilight found her pushing open the door of 29 Chimera Court and quietly making her way inside.

Quiet. Maybe in a house that didn't have a ninja and a mercenary living there. Oh, how Wade loved that squeaky floor.

"Cat food's in the kitchen. Next to the fridge," He said, not looking her way. There was Three's Company to be had!

Surprised, she frowned at the back of his head then shrugged. "Thanks," she said softly, leaning down to scoop up up the already mewing Dee.

He pointed. "Thatta way, in case you forgot."

"Is it mine or do I owe you for it?" Aly asked, making her way to the kitchen to grab the cat food and not even sure she wanted to try to figure out whatever the hell Wade was on.

"Yours."

He was perfectly fine, thanks for asking.

"Oh, what wacky hijinks will they get into today?"

"Same thing they do everyday," she called from in the kitchen. "Try to take over the world."

Wade nudged Ow, sighing as his foot was attacked. Again.

"Time to go home with your negligent mom," He told the kitten. "Stop that." He sighed again. "I hate you."

"I left them food and water," Aly said, unable not to grin at Ow's attacks as she came back into the living room. "I'm not cruel."

"You did." He went back to watching TV.

She frowned and moved closer to try pry Ow off. "What'd I do?"

"Nothing," Wade told her, smiling cheerfully and helping pull the claws out of his skin. It'd heal over in a second or two.

There were two cats in her hands now, one trying desperately to get back to Wade.

And a mercenary watching television with a fox, crying as her playmates were being taken.

"Shh, they think he's gay."

She nodded. "Should I get out of your hair and stop distracting you then?"

"Whatever you want to do," Wade chirped, picking up Max to pet her comfortingly. Well, it was for them both, but he'd kill anyone who said he needed comfort.

With rusty knives.

Aly glanced back at the tv. "Got any ANTM or is that all on loan?"

"Already deleted Wednesdays," Wade replied, scritching Maw behind the ear until she quieted down and did the foxy equivalent to a purr. "Heather's gone."

He might not have actually looked in Aly's direction since she arrived. You know, if he had actually done all that stuff you're supposed to do in high school, he might be a little more subtle about this.

He was just proud of himself for not shooting people.

She looked down at the ground, finally maybe getting it. "I'm sorry."

"I know, I liked her too. Couldn't get to all the go-sees though," Wade replied, purposely misunderstanding.

"Poor girl. Should have been like Robin first season and hired a French boy," Aly said. "I didn't break our deal."

"She's all socially awkward though. That would involve talking to people." Max mad a nose at being shifted to rest in his lap, but calmed once the petting started up again. "We don't have a deal. I'm not your keeper, Aly. Not your boyfriend and sure as hell not your father. You can do whatever you damn well please. It's none of my business."

"No, you're my friend, and we do have a deal called 'don't go get your ass kicked alone,'" she said sharply. "So I went to look at an old man and see if he was dying of natural causes or if he was poisoned. It was a splendid time, really."

"And next time you suddenly disappear and I hear it on the radio, what? Ignore it?" Wade snapped. Then sighed, closing his eyes. He wasn't getting angry about this. He so wasn't. It was not a big deal. He was a just a wee bit socially retarded when it came to... a lot of things.

"Just go home, okay?"

Aly forgot she had an armful of kitten when she went to rub the back of her neck. Ow took advantage of the move to leap back onto his friend in Wade's lap. "I didn't think, okay I'm sorry." Glaring at Ow, she snapped, "hand me the cat back please and I'll do what you want."
