A bar - Hell, Michigan - Monday evening

One bodyslide away from the island, they arrived in a small town that proudly proclaimed it's name.

"Welcome to Hell, Nate!" Wade said, grinning cheerfully. "I coulda told you it was in Michigan, but I thought that was just assumed."

Where else would Hell be?

"Hardly," he said, shooting Wade a sideways look. "We'll see when legal matters arise."

"You're saying that like the legal system actually applies to us."

"It has its uses. The legal system does exist for a reason, even if it's a little behind on the times."

Wade made a face. "Like when there's a massive crossover event, complete with two-page spreads of hero versus hero fighting?"

Nate shot him a mildly confused look. Then shook it off. "Another beer?"

"Beer sounds fantastic!"

"You would think so."

Two bottles hit the bar.

"A beer in Hell."

"I pick the best places, don't I?" Wade asked, sipping his beer.

Nate glanced around the (somewhat crappy) beer with demonstrative contemplation. "I think," he said, finally, "That's debatable."

"Says the guy who picked Hell's Kitchen with it's blind boyscout protector!"

"I'm not particularly sentimental," he said, shrugging slightly, "But if I was, that area would have value."

"And maybe Hell has value for me," Wade shot back.

"So tell me about it."

"...okay, you got me there." A beat. "But it coulda!"

Nate took a long swig off his beer. "Of course it coulda," he said, dryly. "But I'm fairly sure you just liked the name..."

"Like you didn't pick Hell's Kitchen for the dramatic name."

"Actually," he said, "I picked it because a great deal of bad guys roamed the streets."

"Drama!" That came complete with jazz hands. "All of New York has a plethora of bad guys, Nate."

"But nothing was quite as bad as Hell's Kitchen at the time," Nate continued, "Daredevil or not..."

"I didn't spend much time hanging out in New York," Wade admitted. "Things to do, places to be, dying to be done."

He considered that. "And keeping an eye on Terry," Nate said, finally. He'd remembered that part. "New York has always been... busy. But beating up criminals and murderers wasn't going to clear that up in the long run."

Wade clenched his jaw slightly. "I should call her or something..."

"She might like that." He took a quick glance at Wade's facial expression.

"And maybe punch Madrox a few times." For the fun of it.

Nate followed that up with a, "She might not like that."
