"I really think they just need to eat something," Steve said. "Then they'd be less cranky."

"You're ahead of me," Sarah remarked. "I've seen Wade at Fight Club, but I just wandered in off the street. I liked the posters and I needed the distraction."

She offered a hand. "Sarah Walker."

"And I'm going to guess you don't back down from challenges."

"Oh, you could teach somewhere else and just live here," Sarah suggested. "It's nice to meet you -- what do you teach? I run the comics shop in town."

"I teach, ah," he rubbed the back of his neck and said something that sounded like 'mumble mumble.'

"I didn't catch that," Sarah said apologetically (and suddenly much more interested).

"Actually I do, but this sounds much more dramatic."

Deadpool just offered something deep fried and covered in sugar. "It's okay, they can't hurt you now."

"That's because I know these things. I'm like Layla Miller or something." No he wasn't. "I read the important things, like the recap pages."

"I do not know if I could do that with a roomful of teenagers," Sarah said, shaking her head. "Even if I was fine, watching their reactions would just be ..."

She trailed off. "But I'm not really the teacher type."

"You're talking crazy again," Steve reminded him. "And you don't look like a blonde preteen."

"I think the trick is to not let them see that you think it's embarrassing," Steve confided. "Then they try to be okay with it, too, because it's not done to be less cool than the teacher."

"And then you're all talking about it like reasonable adults," Sarah finished. "That's probably the best way to pull that off, Steve."
