Everyone else was back to normal and so Wade was biding his time for his return of thumbs. And normal vocal cords. That chick with the laptop just hadta be about to change him back. Right?

Eh, screw it. He learned how to open the fridge like this. He was set for freakin' life.

"So... you hit out of spite?" Wade asked.

"Only when necessary," he said, and finally made the trip required to sit down on the couch next to him.

And promptly had a kid shoved at him. With loooove.

"Now, it's time for Dora. Jan needs to be bilingual, you know. Something-lingual, at least." A beat. "You teachin' her that wacky Askani too? I betcha are."

"She already has a background in it," he said, taking the kid and holding her up for a moment.

He might've muttered an Askani word or two and gotten a giggle (and some drool) in return.

"She's two," Nate pointed out, "But good luck with that."

Nate's mouth quirked, and he set Jan down on his lap. "I didn't realise you wanted to know..."

"Well, when you say it in bed enough, a guy gets a mite curious, Nate my man."

"And talking about this is more acceptable than nudity?" Nate had to ask, torn between being exasperated and amused. He glanced at Jan. "At what age were you planning to ask?"

Wade eyed him. "How dirty are we talkin' then?"

Jan babbled something about Dora and pointed at the screen. "I see it," he assured her.
