Deadpool was in his office, being... Vice Principaly. Or something.

He still wasn't entirely sure what that meant other than plotting to take over the island for some nefarious purpose. So he was reading horrible RPS again.

It was starting to be a habit here, people.

"Anyone mentioned how you're lookin' a lil' chunky?"

"Hardly." Emma rolled her eyes at the very transparent attempt to get at her. "Is that the best you can bring?"

Hank wasn't a very good cook, and it wasn't like she'd been eating a nicely balanced diet for the last eighteen months. There was no way she was less-than stylishly thin.

Deadpool just shrugged and went back to his dirty RPF. "Have fun with the Hellfire Club then!"

That got her attention.

"Hellfire." Emma's voice was curiously flat, and she took another step towards him. "How do you know the Hellfire Club?"

If he could give her anything useful, she'd tolerate the snide, insinuating crazy.

"Uh, who doesn't?" Deadpool asked. "Worst kept secret since Daredevil's secret identity."

That just earned him another blank look.

"Right," she said crisply. "Do you know anything interesting, or are you just another sad rejected member? Since I'm rather sure your attire doesn't meet club standards."

"I prefer my reds. Black and white is very Frank Miller."

"You can't argue with the classics," Emma said smoothly. She didn't know what he was on about, but she was willing to humor him for this. "Have you considered updating your look? You seem very... Mummenschanz."

"Have you thought about diamonds?" Deadpool replied cheerfully. Then, after a small pause, leaned over the desk. "Also? I've never been in that kooky club of yours. All that pseudo bondage gives me the willies."

"Of course I've thought about diamonds. I'm a girl. I like shiny things," Emma said slowly, like she was talking to a baby. Great. The crazy man was completely worthless. "I wish I could say this had been a pleasure, but we'd both know I was lying."

"Have fun, Emma! TRY SEEING THE MAYOR! He'll love seeing you again."

Emma just gave him a Look. "Right," she said. "The mayor. I'll get right on that."

Or not. Because following the advice of a Crazy Man was a good idea.

"Thanks for the chat, darling," Emma called, sauntering out. "I was hoping you'd be more entertaining," or useful, "but I guess I'll just have to live with the crushing disappointment."
