Jan rather enthusiastically attempted to scale Wade's legs. "I wanna see DANCING," she announced.

Nate just pulled up a chair. "She was fairly adamant."

Jan burst out in giggles and pulled on the fabric of Wade's shirt as she crawled up onto his lap. "Dance!"

"I'm not doing the robot," Nate said. Dryly.

"He's doin' the robot," Wade assured her, helping with the climb. "With laser eyes."

"No, I'm not the dancing type," Nate said, shooting him a look. "Except the lethal kind."

Jan squirmed.

"...Look, she needs to know plenty of cursewords if she's gonna be a possible messiah," Wade insisted. "And possibly learn to make some up."

"Then you can hardly criticize my vocabulary," Nate said, dryly. On Wade's lap, Jan finally gave in and tucked herself neatly up against Wade's chest. "If you want dancing, you'll have to do it yourself..."
