Deadpool was in his office, being... Vice Principaly. Or something.

He still wasn't entirely sure what that meant other than plotting to take over the island for some nefarious purpose. So he was reading horrible RPS again.

It was starting to be a habit here, people.

Emma had questions. Emma did not like having questions, she liked answers.

"Who are you?" she asked, standing in the doorway. "And how the bloody hell do you know anything about me?"

Deadpool pondered how best to answer those things for a moment.

"Deadpool. And I'm doin' the guy whose dad you're doin'."

Emma didn't even blink.

"Darling, you're going to need to be more specific than that." No, she wasn't sleeping with anyone, but this...person didn't know that.

"Oh, do I really?" SHE WAS SO WEE.

"Yes, you do," Emma said icily. "That's hardly a decent resume to give your lurid gossip any weight."

"Emma Grace Frost," Deadpool replied with a grin. "Telepath without morals. That chick who never wears clothing. White Queen... the list goes on."

"Two of four," she allowed. "I supposed fifty percent isn't bad. But the last time I checked, I was fully dressed."

"You're still young," Deadpool sang cheerfully. "Hey, has this you gotten that secondary mutation yet?"

Emma just looked at him blankly.

"Are those good drugs?" she asked finally. "I hear you can get much better hallucinogenics from the children at the sandbox. The ones behind the slide are usually pushing inferior product, you know."

Deadpool sighed happily. "Oh, I missed your bitchery."

"Good for you," Emma replied. "But I'm rather sure I've never met you before in my life, so I'm not quite sure what you're babbling about."

"I know an older version of you." A beat. "She was usually less with the bluster and more with the icy indifference. Which is adorable to see now. And hot damn do you look like a Cuckoo."

"It's not bluster if you can back it up, darling," she answered coldly. A cuckoo? Clearly, he was the cuckoo one.

Emma had not sprouted any feathers the last time she'd checked.

"God, why would they want to?"

"Well, isn't that your one trick pony?" Deadpool asked. "Almost as easy to kill as Professor X. I mean... c'mon. He's in a freakin' wheelchair most of the time!"

"I'm sorry, I think you've been operating under a mistake assumption," Emma said sweetly. "I don't think you know me."

She extended her hand, beaming at him angelically. "My name is Frost, Emma Frost. I don't need telepathy to get what I want."

"...oh, that's just freaky. Never do that sweet thing. It makes you look like one of the Children of the Corn."

"Anyone mentioned how you're lookin' a lil' chunky?"

"Hardly." Emma rolled her eyes at the very transparent attempt to get at her. "Is that the best you can bring?"

Hank wasn't a very good cook, and it wasn't like she'd been eating a nicely balanced diet for the last eighteen months. There was no way she was less-than stylishly thin.

Deadpool just shrugged and went back to his dirty RPF. "Have fun with the Hellfire Club then!"

That got her attention.

"Hellfire." Emma's voice was curiously flat, and she took another step towards him. "How do you know the Hellfire Club?"

If he could give her anything useful, she'd tolerate the snide, insinuating crazy.

"Uh, who doesn't?" Deadpool asked. "Worst kept secret since Daredevil's secret identity."

That just earned him another blank look.

"Right," she said crisply. "Do you know anything interesting, or are you just another sad rejected member? Since I'm rather sure your attire doesn't meet club standards."
